In 2010 Bassin Tournaments will be holding 6 teams events across the Hunter Region in NSW. Lake St Clair and Glenbawn will be our venues.
In 2009 Bassin averaged 66 teams per event and gave away around $65,000 in cash and prizes. Bassin would sincerly like to thank all of our sponsors who have supported us over the last 2 years..
In 2010 we are venturing into the unknown and a another species, the Golden Perch. We will be holding the Australian Yellowbelly Championships which will be held throughout NSW and at some great Yellowbelly locations. Team Of The Year
The team of the year will be calculated by their best 4 rounds throughout the year and will be decided after the 6 rounds as it was this year. Our team of the year for 2010 will be rewarded for their consistancy by receiving our Bassin perpetual trophy.This has been won by the same team the last 2 years, Team Loomis’s Joel Norman and Mick Pascoe. The most consistant team of the year a very prestigious award.
Grand Final
2010 will also see the inclusion of a Bassin Grand Final where the top 30 teams after the six rounds will be invited to compete in November. Just for making it to the Grandfinal will be a great achievement and for those that win, well let me say it will be most worthwhile.
Big Bucks
The Bassin Big Bucks will also be on the calender again in October after it’s inaugral success in 2009 where we had 34 teams competing.
The Bassin Big Bucks in a skins style format where anglers compete for cash over 3 sessions throughout the weekend. In 2009 over $ 10,000 in prize money was given away.
