A GUIDEBOOK FOR TOURNAMENT ANGLERS & ORGANIZERS

Thirty-five years ago, B.A.S.S. introduced the catch-and-release concept to tournament bass fishing. Post-tournament survival of released bass has increased significantly since then as technology has improved and angler knowledge has increased. B.A.S.S. has played a key role in publicizing the development and use of state-of-the-art fish-care techniques. The first edition of Keeping Bass Alive was a milestone publication that became the standard that anglers and tournament directors looked to for information.

Guys for those of you who are wondering why your team is sliding down the entry list and not maintaining their original start position, it is because we have only received your rego form and not your payment as yet. Those of you that have filled in your rego forms and made your payment will be listed in front of those that havn’t. We feel that this is only fair to those of you that have committed fully to fish that round.

Registrations and payments can of course be made on the Friday evening prior to the briefing or by Paypal on this site or by sending us a cheque.

We don’t care when payment is made just as long as you are all aware of the procedure.

Thanks

Guys if you are fishing our round 2 event at Lake Glenbawn this weekend please make sure that all your  safety gear is on board your boat. That includes

1. An up to date PDF, 1 vest per person

2. Anchor with chain and rope attached.

3. Bucket with rope.

4. Whistle or horn.

5. A safety Lanyard.

Also please make sure that your fishing licenses are up to date also as Fisheries and Waterways will be there this weekend. Would be shame to cop a fine and spoil your day. Fishing licenses and boat licenses will be checked before the briefing.

Teams can change their partners throughout the year if they can’t attend. Each team will carry their own point score throughout the year so if you have to change partners that’s OK. There must be one member from the original team participating though. There will be no grand final as such just the normal rounds during the year. 2009 Champion Teams / 2009 Big Bass etc will be calculated throughout the year from point scores gathered from each round. Our major “Lucky Draw Prize” will also be given away at the last round. For every event that you enter you go into the barrel for a chance to win, but you must be present at the final round.
