NSW Bassin Tournaments here you can can get a feel for the type of tournaments we are trying to run. Social events where families can fish together, where a couple of mates can have a go, where a fishing club can use it as a social weekend, set up their marques, flags etc and just have a great weekend.
You can get information on when and where our tournaments will be held, not only ours but other upcoming events around the state as well. You can access weather reports , Dam and river levels check out the latest in fishing products through our sponsors links, and something a little bit different profiles of anglers that fish our events not just the high profile guys but also the average “joe-blo” in his 12′ tinnie who finally got through to stand up on the podium because he fished the back of a bay somewhere that nobody knew was holding fish, but he did.
Our events will have a social feel about them but should also cater for the needs of the more seasoned tournament angler, with lots of great prizes on offer.
NSW Bassin Tournaments Goals
1.Friendly / Social tournament series.
2. Two mates , a father & son, mother & daughter , Husband & wife ( Not advisable )the combinations are endless, can all fish together.
3. A stepping stone to more competetive fishing tournaments.
4. A great learning kerb . See other fishing techniques being used by other competitors and incorporate those techniques into your own fishing. Industry leaders talk about and explain how to use the latest fishing tackle to hit our shores.
5. Having fun / Meet new people / Make friends for life.
6. Sharing information – Anyone thats doing it tough in our tournaments only has to ask. ” How you catchin em” ? The idea is for everyone to go home with a smile , and usually a good limit of bass makes the trip home so much more enjoyable. An ABT motto ” He who shares wins ” is so true.
7. Showing children how to catch fish / look after them / and releasing them alive after the weigh in / trying to get them to concentrate on catching more fish or upgrading that smaller one but all they are interested in is watching it swim around the live well. ” How good is that.”
8. A fishing tournament that produces a large booty of prizes for those good enough on the weekend to consistantly put good fish over the scales. And for those that don’t can still go home with a prize. Maybe for the mystery fish weight, the encouragement award, or go in the draw for the donut award for those unlucky enough not to weigh a fish in.
9. A true NSW tournament series not just located in one area. From the mighty northern rivers and impoundments to southern and central locations.
10. A fully insured tournament series with a safety comes first attitude.
