Following on the success of the Vault 35, Damiki has launched the Vault 42 and Vault 55. At 42mm and 55mm respectively and having a weight of 7 grams and 14 grams, the two new additions fully round of the Vault series offered by Damiki.
Together with over 10 colours for each size, there is sure to be a colour in there to suit any situation that you may face. These larger size lures open up the range of species that can be targeted with this style of lure.
The Damiki Vaults have three holes on the top for attaching the clip. Each hole alters the action slightly.
Front hole. Place the quick snap clip in the front hole for maximum action when vertically jigging.
Middle hole Use this hole when fishing flats, banks or schooled fish when a medium to fast retrieve is required.
Rear hole. The use of this towing point gives the Lure maximum vibration for slower retrieves.
The two new lures also come in new packaging that is easy to see from any distance.

NSW Bassin Tournaments in conjuction with Hunter Native Fish Stocking Group will provide a free BBQ and drinks during the lunch break on the Saturday at Lake St Clair for all competitors and ABT staff. Listening to the rumbling stomachs of anglers, the group will set up down near the waters edge in the blue Bassin marquee so anglers don’t have to travel too far for their lunch. So pop over and say hello and grab something to eat. There will also be a raffle which will be drawn during the presentation on Sunday.
Dave “Kiwi” Trinder took out last weekend’s ABT Bass electric at Lostock Dam.
Lostock being a fishery with a hard reputation the 22 strong field weighed in only 4 fish with Dave catching 2 of those.
Kiwi decided to look for warmer water as the average temp of the dam was around 14C so he headed up into a bay that was a couple of degrease warmer. “Always thinking old Kiwi”. 5 casts later using Evergreen blades he had 4.13 kg in his livewell and upgrading a 42cm bass as well. Upgrading a 42cm, you have to be joking!!!! Just goes to show that the Big Bass are there in Lostosk, but only when they decide to come out and play.
Dave actually broke the record for a 2 fish limit in a tournament at Lostock that was held by Mick Pascoe, and also got the big Bass for the weekend of 2.31kg
Great effort for a bloke from the top of the North Island. Next tournament we might even see him do the traditional Haka before battle.

62 teams made it to the start of round #3 under a thick blanket of fog on a chilly autumn morning only to have it clear to an almost perfect day.
Lake St Clair proved to be not that much different to the last round at Lake Glenbawn with once again the fish not co-operating. In what was one of the toughest comps ever held on Lake St Clair only one of the team managed to catch their 12 fish limit and only 118 out of a possible 744 fish were brought to the weigh station over the weekend.
Team Loomis’s Mick Pascoe & Joel Norman was the only team to bring their full12 fish limit to the weigh station for a total of 8.710kgs.Mick and Joel fished fly all weekend throwing Bass Vampire pattern fly’s with fast sinking line to the edges and returning the fly back to the boat with short sharp retrieves. A teqnique that certainly worked for them.
Session #1 leaders Bassin.Com’s Justin Scott & David Green fell short in the second session and only managed a 10 from 12 limit for 7.450kg to fill second place. The boys fished mainly suspending shallow crankbaits over the weed patches and fly to secure their bag.
Compleat Angler Toronto’s team of Wayne Beazley & Andrew Drennan rounded out the top 3 with a 9 from 12 limit for 6.220kgs fishing mainly Pro Blue Sliders on ¼ oz jig heads and casting to the edges with a slow retrieve back to the boat.
The evaKool Big Bass was won by Koolabung Lure’s angler Steven Richards with a chunky bass tipping the scales at a creditable 1.850kgs caught on a silent brown dog Jackall.
The junior division was taken out by Conner Walmsley who outfished his dad “again” by casting TN60 Jackalls in Noike Gill & Brown Dog colours to weigh in 2 from 3 fish for 1.780kgs.
The Blue Acres/Lamiglas series will return to Lake Glenbawn on the 1st & 2nd of August for Round #4

Hunter Native Fish was formed in 1981 and was originally known as Bass Newcastle. They are a branch of Native Fish Australia and their core
objective is the conservation of Australian Bass. Hunter Native started holding Basscatch events in Dec 1989 to gather important data for fisheries relating to catch rates and the size and health of the Bass in the Williams river. Hunter Native have caught and released 12,180 bass and returned 1837 catch cards and fished for 8782 angler hours. We are involved in the Tide to Table program with NSW DPI which has included projects to restore riparian vegetation and saltmarsh areas on Kooragang Island , install rock fillets on the Wallamba river to re-establish mangrove areas and saltmarsh. Hunter Native have been involved in stocking Lostock dam with almost 10,000 bass over the past 2 years and this year have applied to stock Glenbawn , StClair and Lostock with help from NSW Bassin and ABT. This year they have worked in conjuntion with the Council of Freshwater anglers to lobby Hunter water to provide first class recreational facilities and ongoing
stocking and access to the proposed Tillegra dam. Hunter Native hope that in the future this will become as well known as Glenbawn and St Clair for Big Bass. A well managed stocked impoundment fishery takes pressure of the wild fishstocks.
